Pharmacy Technician

Work hand-in-hand with a licensed pharmacist to provide medication and other healthcare products to patients. You will review patient records and prescriptions, count and mix medications, label bottles, take inventories, and more.

How to successfully perform all the different professional responsibilities of a pharmacy technician. You will also prepare to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam (PTCB), which is a nationally recognized certification that can help you prove your competency and position you to earn more money.

You may also choose to participate in the optional externship program. An externship is an actual site placement where you will spend time working and using the skills you've acquired during your certificate program in a real work environment. Externships help you successfully transition from classroom to workplace. Also included is a workshop where you can learn to develop and write your resume and get tips for job searching in the medical environment.

Prerequisites: Attend a FREE information session. Pass a reading and math test and complete a short application process.
