Wherever there is a need for medical care, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are the people who help patients with their basic needs. As a CNA you will have tons of interactive contact with patients to monitor and record vital signs and to help with things like nutrition, dressing and mobility. You will enjoy lots of hands-on work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
The CNA program includes a combination of classroom study, hands-on lab practice and clinical training in premier nursing, assisted living, and independent living properties in Georgia. You will also be prepared to take the Georgia State certification exam, which allows you to obtain your CNA license.
If after completing the CNA program, you decide that you’d like to gain even more skills, you can enroll in the Patient Care Technician Program (PCT), which offers more clinical training. PCTs collect and test laboratory specimens, perform EKGs, draw blood and assist with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures. Check it out.
